Once the transcript is received, it will take anywhere from 24 - 48 hours to be sent out.

LEHIGH VALLEY WATER SUPPLIERS, INC., SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship will focus on students who have participated in environmental or science activities and/or those considering continuing their education in a field which could be applied in the water industry (science, engineering, finance, plumbing, etc.)  The application can be found in the High School Guidance Office.

2018 HERMINE SOLT STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP

The Pennsylvania Association of Educational Office Professionals welcome all qualifying student to submit a scholarship application. This scholarship will be given to an eligible senior applicant graduating from a Pennsylvania High School or Cyber Charter School with a major In the business field (examples include but not limited to:  Accounting, Business, Business Administration, Business Communications, Business Management, Business Communications, International Business, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Marketing, Computer/Technology, or Secretarial/Admin. NORTHAMPTON COUNTY ASSOCIATION OF TOWNSHIP OFFICIALS

To be eligible a student must reside in a Second-Class Township located in Northampton County – qualifying townships in the Bangor Area School District are, Lower Mt. Bethel, Upper Mt. Bethel, and Washington – Applications are available in the High School Guidance Office.

NORTHAMPTON COUNTY CHAPTER PASR STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP

The Northampton County Chapter of the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees, in its effort to promote the education profession is offering a $1000 scholarship to a Northampton County Public High School Senior whose desire is to pursue a career in the field of education.  This field encompasses any position found within the school setting (ie teacher, guidance counselor, administrator, school nurse, psychologist, support staff) Applications are available in the High School Guidance Office.

EASTERN REGION PSEA SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The Eastern Region of the Pennsylvania State Education Association is proud to announce the establishment of the Eastern PSEA Scholarship Program. The graduating child/stepchild of one PSEA member in each of the five counties presented by Eastern PSEA-Berks, Schuylkill, Carbon, Lehigh, or Northampton-will received a one-time $1,000 scholarship pursue continuing studies beyond high school. Applications are available in the High School Guidance Office

AMERICAN SOCIETY OF HIGHWAY ENGINEERS

The East Penn Section of the American Society of Highway Engineers has a Scholarship Program for high school seniors who are enrolled or planning to enroll in a program leading to a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Civil and Construction Engineering Technology.  Our section will be awarding three $3,000 scholarships.  Applications are available in the High School Guidance Office.

WOMEN’S BUSINESS COUNCIL OF THE GREATER LEHIGH VALLEY

2018 WBC Merit Scholarship Program – The Women’s Business Council’s mission is to empower, recognize and inspire women in business and the community in the Lehigh Valley.  Applications are available in the High School Guidance Office.

UNITED STEELWORKERS HUGH CARCELLA SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

An applicant must be a member in good standing, or the son or daughter or legal ward of a member of a United Steelworkers, District 10 (Eastern) local union participating in the Scholarship Program; or the son or daughter or legal ward of a disabled or old age retiree or deceased member of an affiliated local union who was in good standing with the United Steelworkers at the time of their retirement or death.

To apply: Applications may be obtained, upon request, from participating local unions.  Applicants will fill out the application form giving all required information.  No application will be accepted unless properly signed by the President and Recording Secretary of the respective local union.  When completed, the forms should be mailed to the Scholarship Fund Committee, United Steelworkers, 10 Canal Street, Suite 310, Bristol, PA 19007 - Deadline March 15, 2018

Students may request up to three copies of the paper application and should receive their FAFSAs in three to seven business days.

BHS Guidance Office will once again host the East Stroudsburg University Immediate Decision Day for our seniors. Time and date has not been set for 2017-2018 school year.

Seniors may sign up for this event in the High School Guidance Office.

Interested seniors will be given an appointment time from Guidance.

BHS OFFERING THE SAT SCHOOL DAY!
We will offer the SAT during the school day on Tuesday, April 10, 2018. The registration period has concluded. Registered students will receive an informational booklet in the weeks prior to the exam. It is strongly suggested that students take advantage of free SAT prep on Khan Academy. The Khan Academy app is preloaded on their BASD IPad.
